Yes, I know, I used to be the girl who only knew the members of *NYSNC. Because, let's face. If you're born in the false month and year, you'll miss a boyband - at least, if we talk about the 90s. I was too young for the Backstreet Boys. To old for Westlife. Never got to know New Kids On The Block, because I'm a 1990 girl. And of course - I had not the slightest clue of Take That. I came along to the show last night in Munich because I have a secret crush on Robbie Williams. He's tattooed, charming and did a true Rockstar show. Then he joined his colleagues of Take That and BOOM! - There was a robot on stage! A real, huge robot! There were about 20 dancers, they did a dance battle, they even brought up characters from "Alice in Wonderland"! Sometimes, pop shows can be true fun - even though I prefer rock shows and not knowing most of the 90s boyband. Take That, however, will be an exception from now on.

Top 5 My Chemical Romance Songs

The Only Hope For Me Is You – The Intro of this song is epic. Fact.

To The End – Party like it’s 2004.

Famous Last Words – As Demi Lovato would say: Stay Strong!

Disentchanted – Always great for a huge sob-attack. Crying is okay here.

I’m Not Okay – Listening to the song I always realize there’s still way too much teenage angst going on in me. So yeah, guess this song’s timeless.

Pictures cut out of old PRINZ magazines.
They write way too less about the other bands I could think of
who are perfect to represent German music.

1. Sportfreunde Stiller Typical Bavarian aside of the Oktoberfest.

2. Roman Fischer This boy sounds exactly like a mixture of Placebo and IAMX. Perfect for melodramatic nights alone in your flat, looking at old pictures and drunken dancing.

3. Tomte Excellent sound that never fails to put a happy smile on the listener's face, even though the lyrics aren't always positive. The singer sings passionately about broken hearts, goodbyes and big loves.

4. This Is The Arrival These Munich guys are pretty new to the scene, but are already receiving positive feedback from the British press. Their singer has a great voice full of soul!

5. Fertig, Los! Pop music from four friends that's just a lot of fun. Their second album is a huge dance-party-invitation!

6. Kettcar If you feel like crying, give this band from Hamburg a listen. They only sing in German and their lyrics are genius.

7. Clickclickdecker Electronic sounds, deep lyrics - music you can listen to in almost every situation: Dance, cry, drive your car, cook your loved ones a meal, eat alone.
EDIT: Forgot the Beatsteaks! How could I? Guess I was too fixated on bands from Bavaria and those Berlin boys sure aren’t. Still love you.
