Die Pretty’s Sarah Orloff looks a bit like Amy Lee from Evanescence to me. But not only her tattooed arm differs her from the famous frontwoman – her voice is a lot deeper! It might take a while to get used to it, but it matches the sound of Die Pretty perfectly: While starting with the sound of Paramore, they get harder and harder. “Voices” for example is an energy-driven first song off their EP “Battle Over Brooklyn”. If the name of their EP wasn’t enough to tell you they’re from Brooklyn, just take a look at their Twitter name: twitter.com/dieprettynyc

And follow them there, of course! Then you’ll always know what’s going on in Die Pretty’s universe; such as the release of the music video for “Medicate”. Fans of The Pretty Reckless will feel really comfortable with their sound.

“Let Me Out” is a real highlight. The drumbeats by Angelo come on strong and so are the guitars played Skip and Tommy. And Sara herself on the bass is able to do both: Heavy Hardcore and cute Poprock, like in “7^th Avenue”. Go check them out! You won’t regret it.

I'm still all "Raise your glass" because of my book which got published on Tuesday! Yesterday I saw it in a bookstore - that was an incredible thrilling feel! Therefore I feel like dancing and partying. I chose to blog this link of a dress by Philipp Plein because a) Philipp Plein is great, b) it suits my mood and c) I'd love to be his VIP blogger.
